Congratulations to NitroLube Team member Gerald Patzer on winning the Regional Division 6 Championship and National Open Drag Racing titles for 2009.

Gerald’s Grand-Am performed with style and consistence all year in the Compact and Sportsman Classes in the North West Region racing series. Gerald commented,

Tyson Wells the fastest 8 second 1965 VW from Chilliwack closed the Racing season with a record winning run to Win the DoorSlammer Class.

Tyson came up against some top competition from the USA and Canada at Mission Raceways, this his rookie year at Missionraceways . Tyson’s excellent driving and Crew Chief ..Norm Wilson’s awesome engine building skills showed that it can be done. Tyson had some record breaking weekends this year and as he said,

“it takes team work and many hours working on the cars performance that makes it all come together in 8 seconds and NitroLube is part of that performance”.

NitroLube would like to congratulate the Allen Berg Racing School on a very successful week at Mission Raceway, Mission B.C.
What a professional team operation. The excellent classroom information and the practical road racing training is second to none. It was a delightful experience for all the participants including future Asia circuit driver Justin Kao, who took advantage of the school to hone his skills while it was here in British Columbia this week.
There was a trace of rain but the weather co-operated for most of the week. All participants enjoyed themselves with some exhilarating speeds and a great deal of fun and excitement.
Hopefully in the near future the Allen Berg Racing School will consider operating another branch of their excellent school in British Columbia.

NitroLube would like to congratulate Kevin McNicol and his 1967 Red Nova for an exciting win on the weekend at the National Open Drag Racing Series event at Mission Raceway, Mission, B.C.

Kevin beat out 4 competitors in 4 rounds, in two days with a blistering ET dial in time of 10.73. Kevin had a few close calls in the semi finals but was against Tyson Lowe in his 8 sec. super pro in the finals. Kevin beat out Wells by 5 one thousands of a second on the clock….Man was that cutting it close.

This is Kevin’s first win this year and all done with some excellent driving.

The Legendary Westwood Racing Circuit opened on July 26, 1959

The Westwood 50th Anniversary Event was a very successful event with some amazing cars and drivers from the past taking part in this historic event.

The parade of cars was exciting to watch and the races spectacular, even had a chance to take a picture of Jacque Villeneuve’s winning race car with which he won 9 of 10 races.

The car is now owned by Jon, from Berkeley, California.

NitroLube would like to congratulate Tyson Wells and his Crew Chief Norm Wilson of FarFromHuggin Racing Team on Three successful weekends in a row as first place in DoorSlammer Class winners in Mission and Ashcroft.

The 1965 – 950HP VW Bug, street legal (barely!), is one of the fastest V8 bugs in Canada, setting a time of 8.63 at 250Km per hour in a Quarter Mile Drag Strip. If it had wings it would fly… it even needs a parachute to slow it down.

Tyson commented,

“We have one of the fastest V8 Bugs in Canada and we like the fact that NitroLube Lubricants are helping us make these record breaking runs.”

Congratulation to Dale Kasper, with his major win on his NitroLube sponsored Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Bike. His #1 finish this weekend at the Mission Raceway Drags is bringing him closer to the top points leader.

Another Fantastic racing weekend by the NitroLube racing teams.

Gerald Paetz in his NitroLube Sports Racer broke the track record with a run of 1.14.8sec. on the 1.5km track at Mission Raceways.

Gerald commented,

“The car performed exceptionally well with the NitroLube products and I drove like hell to be on the podium.”

At the USA Grand Nationals in Bremerton, Washington, Gerald Patzer, in Sportsman Class drove his NitroLube car to a record winning #1 spot.

He also won #1 at the Ashcroft races this weekend.

What a great winning weekend for the NitroLube Teams of Gerald Paetz, and Gerald Patzer.

NitroLube is now part of the Canadian Golden Hawk project which is attempting to break the “diesel land speed record.”

Golden Hawk team leader, Randy Pierce, stated,

“We are very careful in our selection of products to be used in the Golden Hawk Cummins (CMI) diesel powered Land Speed Streamliner.
