FarFromHugging Racing Team wins first, 3rd week in a row

by on Jul.15, 2009, under Racing News

NitroLube would like to congratulate Tyson Wells and his Crew Chief Norm Wilson of FarFromHuggin Racing Team on Three successful weekends in a row as first place in DoorSlammer Class winners in Mission and Ashcroft.

The 1965 – 950HP VW Bug, street legal (barely!), is one of the fastest V8 bugs in Canada, setting a time of 8.63 at 250Km per hour in a Quarter Mile Drag Strip. If it had wings it would fly… it even needs a parachute to slow it down.

Tyson commented,

“We have one of the fastest V8 Bugs in Canada and we like the fact that NitroLube Lubricants are helping us make these record breaking runs.”

We enjoyed participating in the 2007 “PINKS ALL OUT” where we were picked as one of the 32 finalist of the 400 cars entered. We are proud to be a Canadian engine building shop that contributes in doing our part for the racing industry at www.fortins.com
