GERALD PATZER – Record Breaking Season in Sport Compact/Sportsman Class for NitroLube Team member.

Driving his 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT, Patzer has extended his Points Cup lead every month in the Pacific Northwest racing circuit this year with some fantastic finishes.

Gerald placed 1st six times in taking on the 2010 Pacific Raceways Champion Casey Reed in the National Open Event and winning by 9 thousands of a second.
In the second round was paired up against last years national open champion and former division and world champion Don ’the worm’ Elgin, and won that round by 2 thousandths of a second.
In the third round was paired up against the current points leader at Bremerton, Washington and former division champion Jerry Gossett.

Congratulations to NitroLube Team member Gerald Patzer on winning the Regional Division 6 Championship and National Open Drag Racing titles for 2009.

Gerald’s Grand-Am performed with style and consistence all year in the Compact and Sportsman Classes in the North West Region racing series. Gerald commented,

The Legendary Westwood Racing Circuit opened on July 26, 1959

The Westwood 50th Anniversary Event was a very successful event with some amazing cars and drivers from the past taking part in this historic event.

The parade of cars was exciting to watch and the races spectacular, even had a chance to take a picture of Jacque Villeneuve’s winning race car with which he won 9 of 10 races.

The car is now owned by Jon, from Berkeley, California.

Another Fantastic racing weekend by the NitroLube racing teams.

Gerald Paetz in his NitroLube Sports Racer broke the track record with a run of 1.14.8sec. on the 1.5km track at Mission Raceways.

Gerald commented,

“The car performed exceptionally well with the NitroLube products and I drove like hell to be on the podium.”

At the USA Grand Nationals in Bremerton, Washington, Gerald Patzer, in Sportsman Class drove his NitroLube car to a record winning #1 spot.

He also won #1 at the Ashcroft races this weekend.

Allen Berg Racing Schools to Host 2010 Canadian Olympic Ski Team.

NitroLube is proud to be in partnership and involved with the Allen Berg Racing Schools, Calgary, Alberta as their Lubricant supplier and would like to congratulate them on their accomplishment to be part of the Olympic Ski Team athletes training program.

Allen Berg Racing Schools to Host 2010 Canadian Olympic Ski Team ABRS will provide a Formula Car clinic for key members of the 2010 Canadian Olympic Ski Team ac­companied by coaching staff, taking place in Calgary at Race City Speedway this summer. There are numerous similarities between elite / high performance skiing and driving; some of these include use of vision, balance, weight transfer and line. ABRS programs can enhance the athletes abilities in these areas by way of high performance driver training, in a challenging environment unique from which the athletes are accustomed, deriving benefit and ultimately enhancing their performance on the ski hill. A number of other processes will be covered including mental preparation tools and techniques as well as debriefing methods including video and data acquisition logging and review, all commonly used by in the professional auto racing industry. This is a pilot project with a view to collaborate with Alpine Canada and the Canadian Sport Centre on an ongoing basis. ABRS is proud to support Canadian Olympic Athletes in their bid to Own The Podium in 2010.
